Swedfund is now seeking a Senior Special Operations Manager – a key role for someone who wants to work with particularly challenging investments in complex markets, while contributing to Swedfund’s mission to reduce poverty through sustainable investments.
About the Role
Special Operations is a small, highly specialized team responsible for Swedfund’s most complex investments—situations characterized by elevated risks, significant challenges, or rapidly changing conditions within companies and markets.
As a Senior Special Operations Manager, you will work with portfolio management. You will lead and drive projects in situations that require strong analytical skills, sound judgment, negotiations and communication abilities.
The role involves extensive interaction both internally and externally, including close collaboration with international partners, co-investors, lenders, and companies across diverse geographical contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present materials for decisions
Portfolio management including decision making, transactions, restructurings and negotiations in investments covering both funds and direct investments
Effectively drive value and monitor risks in portfolio companies
Drive development, knowledge sharing and insight in special operations related investment developments
Effective project management and coordination of investment project teams
The role also includes travel a few times per year.
Your Profile
We are looking for a candidate with at least 10 years of experience leading transactions and investment/financing processes across the full lifecycle, gained from roles in banking, investments, transaction advisory, or management consulting. You have strong, well-documented financial expertise, complemented by extensive transaction experience (including raising financing, restructurings and exits) and experience working in demanding situations. Experience from international markets and investments is an advantage.
You are fluent in English; proficiency in Swedish and French is a merit.
